What others have said about Living Our Beliefs

I cannot imagine having the ability to join heart and mind with such dedicated, talented servants with such varied and inspiring backgrounds through any class I could afford to attend in person. I first receive critical lessons through the assignments which all tie to my life as a Disciple ...I learn even more through the diverse responses posted by other students and their thoughtful feedback.

Third, through authentic sharing in discussions, I receive the ultimate lesson of experiencing our Living Lord in the Community of Faith – WOW! I cannot find words to explain how this feeds my soul and fills my heart. ...

The online blackboard allows me to receive the materials, read, and respond to them when it is convenient for me amid a congested calendar, without travel expenses. Rev Beth Galbreath uses the medium well, utilizing books, handouts, videos, and other resource links to give students a breadth of understanding and ability to carry lessons learned into future ministry. The depth of her knowledge of the United Methodist teachings, the breadth and openness of her personal experiences, and her skill in pointing out positive, relevant trends are all valuable.   -- Victoria Coulter

Being part of this class has been a great revelation to me. I’ve been a member of the Methodist church for 12 years, not because I knew a lot about Methodist doctrine, but because I felt at home among people who love God and seem to be doing His work every day. Imagine my delight when throughout this two-week class, I came to realize that I’m not just a member of my neighborhood church but am truly a Methodist in my heart and in my beliefs..    -- Marlene McNiece

This class asked deeper more thoughtful questions than I think I’ve ever had to consider in any class which really required us to prayerfully consider any number of aspects before we answered. This is by far one of the best, most thoughtful courses I’ve ever taken regardless of venue.  – David DeGroff

The diversity of perspectives from people of different backgrounds, church sizes and conferences makes for an awesome learning environment.  It’s an intense class; not for the faint of heart, but definitely worth it and one of the best learning experiences I’ve had in a long time.   – Shannon Meister
